Block Craft 3D: Building Simulator Games For Free
Block Craft 3D: Building Simulator Games For Free review
Every once in a while you’ll play a game that seems oddly familiar, almost like a deja vu. That game in this review is Block Craft 3D, a game that has all the elements of Minecraft, although done less pleasantly.
Block Craft 3D is a city building game which looks like a knockoff version of Minecraft or LEGO. The game plays really slowly too, and interacting with the various elements is not all that fun. Granted, the game may be targeted at younger children. However, playing this game will leave you lethargic, almost like you’ve spent a valuable amount of your time doing nothing important. The game requires that you build your own city from the available blocks. Block Craft 3D is not a simulator game, although it has all the elements of city building.
As the game starts off, you choose your character. You can build anything from castles, historic sites such as the Eiffel Tower, and regular buildings, earning yourself points in the process. You might also be happy to learn that your favorite monsters are missing in this game.
The problem with Block Craft 3D is that it doesn’t try to be any different from other games in this saturated genre. It offers zero unique concepts, and playing will leave you feeling empty and wasted.
The controls are effective, although quite laggy. They are a combination of menus and on-screen prompts, with the occasional swiping and tapping either to select an item or to move its position. The on-screen prompts and hint system provide ideas on what you should do next.
The graphics in Block Craft 3D are sadly the worst bit about an already lackluster game. They are heavily pixelated even if done as a key element of the design. There are huge frame rate dips in this game, which is quite ironic because the game was specifically tailored for mobile OSs. Everything looks dreary even under the outdoor blue sky, and the characters show a total lack of beauty or creativity. It’s a scathing indictment of the game, but ultimately Block Craft 3D does nothing to stand out.
- Relatively simple gameplay;
- Great for kids learning to interact with the virtual environment;
- The game is free to play.
- Completely boring;
- Offers nothing new in the sim and building genre.
